Tell us about your Business……

Pedreschi are family run electrical contractors, they also install and maintain intruder alarm systems and the Smarthomes range of technology. Pedreschi carry out new installations, to your home, office or commercial premises. They can install all the electrical outlets through to the complete fit out of the intruder alarm system. For older premises they carry out inspections on the existing electrical installation and advise on whether a complete rewire is required.

Pedreschi is the Register of Electrical Contractors of Ireland (RECI) Contractor of the Year 2009/2010 for the Dublin Region.

When did you start up Pedreschi Electrical?

Pedreschi Electrical was started in 1993 by Daniel and Niamh Pedreschi. Niamh says that they have built their business through word of mouth alone. “We don’t advertise, and we have only taken our phone number off ex-directory since 2010. I think that when you provide an exceptional service people will start to hear about your work. Our business is generated by recommendation alone and I think a huge part of that is because we treat all our customers with the same respect no matter how big or small the job is.”

The businessperson Niamh admires the most….

The business person Niamh looks up to the most is Mary O’Brien of Lily O’Brien’s Chocolates.  Mary Ann’s humble beginnings of making chocolate in her kitchen in 1992 to an internationally recognised brand in a 33,000 sq ft production facility with 125 employees and a turnover of over €20m today make her an inspirational businessperson.

Niamh says “She is a wonderful person and a great business person. She started her business in her kitchen and has gone on to become a big player in the international chocolate market. I have heard her speak and was really impressed by her attitude to life and business.”

What are Pedreschi planning for the future?

Niamh and Daniel are currently diversifying their business by bringing Pedreschi Electrical into new markets and offering new ranges to their customers. These new areas include CCTV systems, data points and the Smarthomes range of technology.
