All Points West is an audio production company, supplying full production of radio programmes including inserts, documentaries, drama etc., radio commercials and audio podcasts.  Jho Harris has worked in radio since 1977 and has produced several hundred radio programmes in various genres as well as presenting music driven shows.

When did you start your business?

I worked in radio since 1977 and met Sinead Mc Clure in 1993 while working at Options Radio Productions and having moved to Sligo in 1997 we decided to try to capitalise on our combined skills.

We launched our new website Podcasts.ie in 2010. Podcasts.ie is a 100% Irish podcasting site which produces and publishes free podcasts in audio format featuring  Irish culture and heritage and many of Ireland’s best contemporary writers of prose, poetry and music.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

We have won several awards for our radio ads, have produced 2 series of a dramatised children’s story and our website www.podcasts.ie received it’s 1 millionth hit for 2010 and as we only launched in 2010, we are happy to have reached this milestone in our first year.

In the future we plan to expand our podcasting site and produce more cultural podcasts aimed at the tourism sector for Irish people everywhere to enjoy.

How do you differentiate your service?

We listen to what our clients want and put their needs first at all times, though we are not afraid to let them know if they are heading in the wrong direction, we are never afraid to tell them we don’t know something but will always offer to get answers, we also find that an informal approach (where appropriate) is best.

How are you promoting your business?

We are currently producing up to 3 podcasts per week, every week for www.podcasts.ie. If the property business can shout “location, location, location!” then web based businesses must shout “quality content, quality content, quality content!”

We are also using social networking to let people know what we are doing and when a new podcast becomes available (for those who don’t understand RSS feeds!).
