Theme: How technology can help SMEs develop and grow more economically and efficiently
Bank of Ireland’s Enterprise Week took place from the 18th – 25th May, and kicked off with the launch event hosted at Microsoft’s Head Quarters in Sandyford.
The venue was fitting to the occasion as Bank of Ireland partnered with Microsoft’s Work Wherever Wednesday initiative offering free IT Solutions Clinics in many of their branches during enterprise Week .
The main speakers at the opening event where the Director of Business Banking, Bank of Ireland, Mark Cunningham, Paul Rellis, CEO of Microsoft Ireland and Sean O’ Sullivan, Managing Director of Avego and RTE Dragon, all of which (should this be whom?) touched on the theme of “Business and Technology”
Sean O’Sullivan spoke about how Ireland needs to concentrate on international experts, encourage Ireland to become an open economy, especially with the tech sector and to focus on long term strategies rather than short term gains.
