DAY 4: ENTERPRISE EVENING, GALWAY; CREATING CONNECTIONS

Another day, another county, and another great National Enterprise Week event.

Allaboutbusiness.ie was back in Galway yesterday to go to the enterprise evening in the Ardilaun Hotel where over 80 local business owners had the opportunity to network and listen to speeches on ‘Managing your business through the recession’.

DAY 4: THOMOND PARK, LIMERICK; AN APPETITE FOR SUCCESS!

The stands of Thomand Park might have been empty yesterday morning but the National Enterprise Week breakfast event certainly wasn’t! Over 250 local businesses owners and entrepreneurs came along to listen to speakers on the theme of ‘Surviving in Business’ over a full Irish breakfast!

MC for the event was former Munster and Ireland International Rugby player Frankie Sheahan who seemed just as comfortable at the podium as he used to look on the pitch. Allaboutbusiness.ie managed to drag Frankie away from the Munster supporters in the room for a quick interview about his new company, Front Row. Day 3: Eyre Square Galway; from pink lemonade to glamorous style

The sun shone on the customers of Bank of Ireland, Eyre Square, Galway branch yesterday as they chatted to local businesses showcasing their wares as part of ‘National Enterprise Week”. Pink Lemonade, Unique Glass Jewellery and wacky costumes were the order of the day as SMEs from the area set up their stands and promoted their business in the branch.

Allaboutbusiness.ie met with Sandra Owens, of Thomas Woodberry wines, who much to her delight, had sold so much stock that she needed to order fresh supplies! You can check out the video of Sandra in the Exclusive Video section to find out what she thinks is the key to their success.

Day 3 update: Breakfast at the House of Lords

The House of Lords at College Green was packed out yesterday as over 250 entrepreneurs and businesspeople participated in the Breakfast Briefing.

Mark Cunnigham from Bank of Ireland, Margaret Ward from Clear Ink and Rick Keeley from Facebook were the main speakers at the event.

Day 2 Update: From ‘Going Green’ to Clear Ink

Day two of National Enterprise Week, and branches nationwide have hosted a series of events or facilitated exhibitions for local businesses in the area.

Highlights today include  the Farmers’ market on Dublin’s College Green,  a conference in Waterford with the theme “Going Green” (check out the exclusive video section to watch the videos), an enterprise breakfast in Thurles aimed at helping businesses to map the future as well as numerous  networking evenings across the regions.

NATIONAL ENTERPRISE WEEK LAUNCH A GREAT SUCCESS!

There was a great buzz in Dundalk on Thursday at the launch event of National Enterprise Week.

Business owners from the area took advantage of the evening to listen to speeches and chat to business experts such as legendary Dragon Bobby Kerr over a cup of tea and a sandwich!

The speakers at the event did a great job of highlighting how SME’s can build better businesses. All of the speakers talked about how important it is to remain positive, even in the current economic climate, and that even though the market is difficult at the moment there are definite signs of improvement so no one should get disheartened!
